Operations Manager | Certified Arborist & Faller
19 Years Arboricultural Industry Experience

I have been working in the arboriculture industry since 2005. Originally from the United Kingdom, I pursued a dream of living among the mountains of British Columbia and was drawn to the environment of Vancouver Island.

Seeking adventure is how I spend my time outside of Strathcona Tree Care, there is no shortage of that here.

As an arborist I get to challenge myself every day physically and mentally, outside among the trees continuing my education in the care of trees.

Born in Thunder Bay and a wanderer by nature it’s no surprise I’ve found myself living on Vancouver Island.

Raising a family in the Comox Valley has been nothing short of a dream. The diversity of land, flora and fauna is fascinating. It keeps me and my family inspired and driven to preserve and explore the island as much as possible.

Strathcona Tree Care allows me to pursue my passion and wonder for nature, adventure and photography all year round.

8 Years Arboricultural Industry Experience

I’m originally from the New Forest, United Kingdom, where I was fortunate enough to grow up among beautiful natural woodland. I’ve always been captivated with nature and outdoor spaces, and Vancouver Island has become an ideal place to call home.

I have experience working in arboriculture in the UK, New Zealand, and Canada, and take enjoyment from the opportunities it provides me to appreciate the outdoors.

In my down time I enjoy hiking, climbing, paddling, and relaxing with an ever growing collection of books.

1 Year Arboricultural Industry Experience

I grew up in Duncan, BC, and have recently joined the arboriculture industry and Strathcona Tree Care as an arborist in training, where I enjoy working in the beautiful forests of British Columbia.

I was first introduced to tree climbing as a sport in 2017 at local logger sports events. In addition to arboriculture, my interests & hobbies include logger sports, Muay Thai, rock hounding, hiking, and a variety of outdoor activities.

Born and raised in the Yukon, I've always had an affinity for the outdoors and an appreciation for nature.

After years of spending my spare time skiing and biking throughout BC, I'm excited to have finally made the permanent move to Vancouver Island.

With 8 years of experience in the tree service industry, I am excited to continue working and growing amongst the beautiful trees and forests that the Island has to offer.

15 Years Arboricultural Industry Experience

Although new to the living here on the island, I’m familiar with BC and its incredible landscapes.

Originally from UK, I’ve been an arborist for 13+ yrs. Like most other arborists I’ve met here in BC, I seek and enjoy many adventures this province has to offer. Hiking, camping, splitboarding, MTB and climbing untouched giant old growth trees.

I've been lucky to have played a part in many old growth projects with Ancient Forestry Alliance and Expedition Old growth.  There's something incredible about being at the top of a 200’+ tree or 2000m+  peak looking down/across at valleys, oceans, other untouched monster trees and the vastness of these lands.

I love the challenge & physicality of tree work alongside working with other incredible arborists as a team, that’s why I’m stoked to be apart of Strathcona Tree Care.
